Sarah Lowther welcomes Nicola Foulston, Group Chief Executive of RBG Holdings, for a chat around how to accelerate the company's growth. RBG Holdings is a professional services group. The company listed on AIM in 2000 and has a market cap of around £93 million.

RBG Holdings focusses on areas such as dispute resolution / litigation (via Rosenblatt), corporate financing (sell-side, via Convex Capital), and litigation finance. Common to all three areas is the client base, which is highly entrepreneurial.

RBG Holdings aims to expand its product offering by acquiring other niche brands that are specialist in their field. In particular, the group is looking for high-margin businesses with a unique position in the market place that can complement its services.

Having tripled between January and June 2021, the share price of RBG Holdings has declined considerably since. The group attributes the decline to three factors in particular: 1) lack of material result in its litigation investment, 2) overall economic background, 3) its fairly illiquid business.
