David Stevenson, columnist for the Financial Times, MoneyWeek and Citywire in the UK, introduces the format of "Agronomics Capital Markets Day", a webinar that hosts 15-minute presentations from a wide range of companies within the agronomics portfolio.

Co-founder Anthony Chow gives an overview of cellular agriculture company Agronomics, and the field of cellular agriculture as a whole, which is in the process of transitioning from R&D to commercialisation. Agronomics currently has 24 global companies in its portfolio, and invests in three key verticals: cell culture, precision fermentation, and enabling technologies.

Agronomics currently has a net asset value per share of just over 16 pence. The company believes there is significant intrinsic value that hasn't been recognised yet, and therefore assumes a net asset value per share of 19 pence.

Agronomics strongly focusses on the ability of companies to get cells or strains to a level where proteins can be replicated or produced very efficiently. The technology of these companies needs to have the prospect of getting to scale and parity in terms of price, taste and convenience. The selection of appropriate companies is supported by an internal advisory team with technical expertise, as well as a panel of technical experts.

Agronomics has a medium-term goal to get into the FTSE-250, which would require a shift to a higher market. The company currently has 37 million GBP in cash and low operating costs, and is therefore not required to raise additional funds.

Spanning two phases, the company first plans to target the US, Middle East, and Australia, followed by Brazil, Europe and South East Asia.

President and CEO Lou Cooperhouse gives an overview of cellular aquacultur company BlueNalu. BlueNalu aims to be the global leader in cell-cultured seafood, and has conceptualised bluefin tuna toro as its first commercial product.

Chief Operating Officer Hans Huistra gives an overview of cultured meat company Meatable. Founded in 2018, Meatable aims to develop, produce and market a variety of branded cultivated meat products, with a global presence envisaged for 2027.

Co-founder and CEO Ingvar Helgason gives an overview of alternative protein company VitroLabs. VitroLabs aims to recentralise the leather supply chain using hyperlocalisation. Based on cell-cultivation technology, the company develops lab-grown leather with the same qualities as those of traditional leather.
